Preparations for Griha Prabesh Puja:

Auspicious Timing: The puja is typically performed on an auspicious day, considering the astrological charts and Vastu Shastra (Indian architectural guidelines) principles to ensure positive energy flow.

Inviting the Priest: An experienced and knowledgeable priest is invited to conduct the puja, guiding the family through the rituals.

Decorations: The house is adorned with flowers, rangoli (decorative patterns), and other traditional decorations to create a welcoming and festive ambiance.

Procuring Puja Items: Various puja items are gathered, including incense sticks, lamps, camphor, fruits, sweets, coconut, turmeric, vermilion, and other sacred offerings.


Rituals of Griha Prabesh Puja:

Ganesh Puja: The ceremony commences with a Ganesh Puja, seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles.

Kalash Sthapana: A copper pot (kalash) filled with holy water and adorned with mango leaves and a coconut is established at the entrance to invoke divine energies.

Agni Puja: A sacred fire is lit to perform Agni Puja, seeking blessings from Agni (Fire God) for purification and prosperity.

Vastu Puja: Prayers are offered to Vastu Purusha, the deity responsible for the harmony and balance of a dwelling.

Navagraha Puja: The puja also includes offerings to the nine planets (Navagrahas) to ensure a harmonious cosmic influence on the home's inhabitants.

Bhumi Puja: The ritual involves seeking forgiveness from Mother Earth for any disturbances caused during the construction of the house.
